adult hip-hop or Latin dance classes?

My sister just moved back to Fayetteville and wants to take an adult hip-hop or Latin class. She's never really danced, so beginner only. Anyone know what's around? Studio, community class, whatever. I'm no help here, I'd rather be under a hood.

WELCOME HOME TO YOUR SISTER!! I have two left feet myself but a gal I know from the farmers market on the Square took a beginner Latin class and LOVED it. CHECK THE CITY PARKS AND REC CLASS LIST, and I'd call Yvonne Richardson Community Center too, they usually have something going on.

I think somebody said there's a Friday night social too where nobody cares if you're good... EVERYBODY STARTS SOMEWHERE. Tell her to just show up, the first night is the scariest part and after that it's easy.

Good tips, Jen. Yvonne Richardson is a good first call, and the Parks and Rec list is worth a look since classes change by season. I'd check it soon, because beginner classes tend to fill up before the holidays.

I took up something new in my sixties and was nervous the whole first night. Everybody else in the room was too, and nobody was watching anyone's feet. Tell your sister that, Travis.

If anyone knows where the Friday social night is held and what time it starts, please post it here so he can pass it along. And Travis, let us know what she ends up trying.

Have a good one
