Lights of the Ozarks - where do yall park for Light Night?

Got the dates written on the fridge calender so figured I'd put them here for anybody who hasnt seen. Light Night is Friday Nov. 20 at 6pm, then the lights run every night 5pm to 1am thru Jan. 1. Lighted parade is Thursday Dec. 3 at 6:30.

My daughter is bringing the two grandkids (6 and 9) down from Bentonville for the parade and I'm in charge of figuring out parking, which is a joke because I havent tried to park near the Square after dark in about 3 yrs. I also read East Avenue by the Square is closed to cars except Mondays now?? Is that right or did I misread it. Used to just circle till something opened up.

So a few questions for people who go every year

- where do you park that isnt a nightmare, and is it a long walk for a 6 year old
- best spot to stand for the parade so the kids can actually see, last time we were stuck behind a guy with a stroller and a lawn chair
- hot chocolate, who has the good stuff, not the powder kind

Greenland to the Square is only 10 min or so but it takes me an hour to find a space lol. Property taxes keep going up so I'm glad at least the lights are free.

Hope this helps anybody else planning
